SeaLife Orlando Review - July, 2025
In today’s blog post, I visited the SeaLife Orlando Aquarium located inside Merlin Entertainments Wheelhouse Building, this attraction is located at Icon Park in Orlando Florida. You pay for parking after you park your car inside the parking garage, by scanning a QR code. There is no admission fee to enter Icon Park, you pay for each individual attraction that you want to experience. When you enter inside the Merlin Entertainments Wheelhouse Building, this where The Orlando Eye entrance is located. Once inside the building, you will see the main food court that has a Sarku Japan, and a Charley’s Philly Steaks. When walking through the area where the food court is located. You will see the entrance to SeaLife Orlando Aquarium on the right side of the Wheelhouse Building.

Furthermore, if you purchased your tickets for SeaLife Orlando online you enter the queue to have your tickets scanned, so that you can go straight into the attraction. If you did not purchase your SeaLife tickets online, you can enter the main queue line at the attraction to purchase your tickets to SeaLife Orlando in person at the attraction. After purchasing your admission to SeaLife Orlando at the ticket counter, you enter through the main entrance gate and begin your journey through this amazing Orlando Family Friendly Attraction. When starting your journey inside SeaLife Orlando Aquarium, you will first get your picture taken which can be a souvenir that you can purchase at the end of your SeaLife Orlando experience to remember your time at SeaLife Orlando. Next, you
walkthrough the Shoaling Ring an area where you get to experience an immersive projection film that shows a massive variety of Sea Create res from Jelly Fish, Sharks, Fish, to even Aligators. Continuing on in the Aquarium, you enter a themed Coral hallway where you learn about a variety of fish. The fish that are featured in this first area of the aquarium are featured all across the world from fish that are native to the state of Florida to fish that live in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. This second area is called Ocean Caves. This is where you will then encounter, the Jelly Fish lab where baby Jelly Fish are born. Also, in this area you will get to see the Jelly Wall where a habitat of Jelly Fish are present.
Thirdly, after learning about the variety of Jelly Fish that live in the Ocean environments in this exhibit. You get to see the next exhibit called Shipwreck which features a themed area to Shipwrecks and what lies under the depths of the Oceans by learing about these environments and the efects that shipwrecks have on our oceans. After getting to experience the Shipwreck themed area you move into the next area called the Atlantic Ocean. In the Atlantic Ocean area, you will learn about the different types of Sea Creatures that live in the Atlantic Ocean which include, a variety of Fish (Cod, Salmon, Sea Bass, and Ocean Perch), Sea Turtles, Sharks (live in deeper waters), Sea Horses, and Eels. After experiencing the Atlantic Ocean section of the Aquarium, you enter the next section which is the Axolotls. In the Axolotls section you encounter Paedomorphic Salamanders (Axolotls) which are the animal that live in this exhibit. The Axolotols live in the Ocean ecosystem's as they are refereed to as Sea Monsters. Continuing on in your journey in the aquarium, you reach the entrance to the 180-degree tunnel, as well as this is the area where you meet with a Merlin Entertainments Team Member, if you booked an additional cost experience at the aquarium. This includes the Behind-the-Scenes tour of the aquarium or a special animal encounter experience including getting to feed the fish. After the Axolotls area, this is the smallest area of the entire Aquarium in my opinion.
You enter the 180- degree tunnel, where you get to experience spectacular views of various sea life including Sea Turtles, Hammerhead Sharks, and Saw Sharks, Sting Rays, all of these animals live inside this walkthrough tunnel area in harmony as none of these animals including the variety of Sharks that live inside here do not eat the other animals. After getting to experience this immersive walkthrough tunnel, you enter the next area which is the 360- degree tunnel that is connected to the previously mentioned tunnel. When you start to enter the 360-degree tunnel you can see all sorts of sea creature above and below you. Yes! there is a Safe glass floor that is below your feet where you can witness sea creatures swimming below your feet in real time. You can see all sorts of sea creatures in this 360-degree tunnel from sea turtles, sharks, sting rays, and a variety of fish. After getting to see a variety of sea creatures while walking through both amazing tunnels. You enter the area called Seahorse Temple. This area sounds like the name that it implies. This area is where you can see Sea Horses of varying types, and species. After seeing the cool Sea Horses in Seahorse Temple, you enter the Indian Ocean area which is home to sea creatures of all species and types from sea urchins to smaller sea animals. The next area you enter is Feeding Frenzy where you get to see the fish feeding area. Guests that pay for a special additional experience can have the opportunity to feed the fish that live in the Feeding Frenzy area.
After viewing the Feeding Frenzy area, you then enter the Everglades area where you get to learn about the different types of animals that live in the Everglades. This may include different types of sea animals as well as possibly seeing a alligator projected on the wall in this area of the aquarium. After experiencing the Everglades, you enter the Sub- Aqua Play area. This is an area where your kids can play in a variety of playground structures and fun play areas. The next area which is close to Sub- Aqua Play area is Coastal Rockpools, which is where you get to touch smaller sea creatures including Star Fish and sea plants such as Coral. I have been to similar aquariums where I got to touch Star Fish and Sea Life. Since this area was similar to other aquariums touch tank areas, I did not touch the Star Fish or smaller sea life. After you get to touch smaller sea creatures and sea plants, you enter the final area of the aquarium which the best part of any attraction. The Sea Treasures shop is the main retail location of SeaLife Orlando Aquarium. This main retail shop is home to the most Merlin Entertainments attraction merchandise for a SeaLife Aquarium that I have ever visited in my life. They have merchandise from keychains with your name to post cards, and sea creature themed plush toys.
